About this time last year, I made a visit to see some old friends from high school.  It’s unfortunate that it takes times of sadness to bring people back into your life.  This was one of those times.

After my visit with Laura and Brian, I knew that they would someday become a part of my “to do” list.  I wasn’t able to reveal my plan to them at the time but I knew if I sat back and waited, the time would come where I could give them something really special.

Fast forward about a year later. . . .

I’m driving down the same road to see my old friends but this time, it was for a time of joy.    

Meet baby Connor.

Thank you Laura and Brian for allowing me to come back and spend some time with you and your precious little boy.  I promise not to let so long go by before I visit again.

Today I had the honor to photograph Baby Jude.  He is a special baby because his mommy is also a local photographer who is the person behind the camera of Oeil Photography.  I was so honored that she asked me to do his newborn session because if you’ve ever seen Michelle’s work, you know how talented she is so I wanted to make her proud.    :o)

Jude was born last week and I will tell you that he definitely has me spoiled because I think he would have been okay with us standing him on his head if we’d wanted to.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby so laid back.  She fed him as I was arriving and that must have been a sedative for this little guy so I was ecstatic when I saw how cooperative he seemed to be.  Here’s a little peak from our time together.  I hope his mommy enjoys his pictures.   

I love this last image of Jude with his big brother Pepe.  Since I’m a mommy of 2 little boys, it’s always special for me to see 2 brothers like this.

This afternoon I spent a few hours with baby Davis.  You may remember his mommy from a previous post.  Well, he’s finally here and exactly 12 days old today.  I could hardly wait to get home and edit his photos because he was such a good sport about his first modeling session.    :o)   I was lucky since he only did a peeps and poops once during the entire 2 hours which required a small timeout but other than that, it had to be one of the easiest newborn sessions I could ask for.  But seriously, I told his mommy that if these 2 hours are any indication of how he usually acts, then I think she’s got a smooth road ahead.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!
