Meet Susana and Brian!  They are one of my spring couples and I’m so excited to work with them!  We met for the first time recently on one of their trips down from up north to talk about the wedding and do their engagement shoot in St Augustine.  I always enjoy meeting my long distance couples for the first time and I really loved their outfits for the shot. They coordinated nicely and Brian’s hat was a nice touch.  I love it when guys accessorize!  They were a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see how their big day comes together!  It sounds like they’ve got some really great personal touches for the wedding day, which is always nice.

I always love hearing how couples get engaged.  During my shoot with Kira and Mike, they gave me a reenactment of how he surprised her on San Marco Avenue, near the fort, while Kira was walking down the road with her girlfriend.  She had no idea that he made a surprise trip home to propose!  It was really sweet and I had a great time with them.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!

Alex & Mike were my last couple for 2011 and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to end the year with.  They are truly one of the sweetest couples I have worked with.  Family and friends from all over the world came to St Augustine to celebrate their special day with them.  Both being Embry-Riddle graduates, they incorporated small touches of aviation and aerospace into their reception decor.  Mike’s grooms cake from Metro Custom Cakes has got to be one of the coolest cakes I’ve seen.  He works for NASA and the space shuttle cake complete with lights was quite a hit.  From Alex’s father’s heartfelt speech to the fun time everyone had on the dance floor, everyone really enjoyed themselves and the day was perfect.

Thank you both for having me document your wedding day.  I am honored and touched to have been a part of it.

Back in November, I had the privilege of traveling to Charleston, South Carolina for Ginny & Johns low country wedding.  I absolutely love Charleston so any chance I get to go there is always welcomed!  They had a beautiful southern affair with great food, music and lots of fun.  Since they chose to have a first look and do most of their pictures prior to the ceremony, it gave us the opportunity to take advantage of shooting in a few different locations in downtown Charleston while allowing them to  partake in the cocktail hour.   I adored their outside reception with tent and how they had some really great furniture for their guests to lounge on while taking a break from the dance floor.  All in all, it was a great day and I’m so happy Ginny & John brought me up to shoot their special day!
