I always love hearing how couples get engaged.  During my shoot with Kira and Mike, they gave me a reenactment of how he surprised her on San Marco Avenue, near the fort, while Kira was walking down the road with her girlfriend.  She had no idea that he made a surprise trip home to propose!  It was really sweet and I had a great time with them.  Here are a few of my favorites.  Enjoy!

I had the best time with Christine & Zach for their recent engagement session in St Augustine.  I always love spending time with my couples before the big day and the engagement session is the perfect time for me to learn more about them and make them comfortable with how I shoot.  Despite the sweltering Florida heat and humidity, we had a great time and got some fun shots of the two of them.  They are one of the absolute sweetest couples and I’m so excited about their Jacksonville wedding next year.  Enjoy!

I met up with Kim & Jim really early one morning last weekend for their St Augustine engagement session.  Despite the unbelievable humidity and heat, we still had a great time exploring the town and getting to know each other better.  It was nice to hear about their wedding plans and details.  I’m so excited about their Marineland wedding later this year!

Just because it’s raining outside, it doesn’t mean an engagement session has to be boring.  Mindy & Patrick’s St Augustine engagement session is proof of that.  I had the best time with these two!  Such a sweet, sweet couple!  It’s always fun to try and work in less than ideal circumstances to get the creative juices flowing so even though it started out rainy, we thought outside of the box and “made it work”, as Tim Gunn would say.
