A little goodness from my weekend in Charleston. . . . .

St Augustine Wedding Photographer | Kerrie’s Bridal Session

I’m finally able to share some of my favorite shots from Kerrie’s bridal session.  Yay!  As you can see, she’s a gorgeous bride and her gown is amazing.  We had a great time walking around in St Augustine and got some really cools shots.

Bridal sessions are really fun for me to shoot and I always love it when a bride wants to schedule a session before the wedding.  All too often, there’s not a lot of time on the wedding day to fit in more than a few minutes for bridal shots.  On top of that, there’s the nervous and excited energy to deal with on the wedding day which also makes it a little less than ideal to spend excessive amounts of time for the bridal session.  I always advise my brides to have a “trial run” with hair and makeup prior to the big day so why not kill two birds with one stone and throw that dress on and do your bridal session on the same day!  There’s nothing worse that being surprised in a bad way when it comes to your hair and makeup on the day of the wedding.  Trial runs are a good thing so make the most of it!

I’m planning to have Kerrie and Daniel’s wedding day blog up later this week so check back to see the latest.  Their wedding images are amazingly beautiful so I promise. . . . .  you will NOT want to miss out. 😀

Her blue eyes are fierce!  This next one could be classified as an outtake.  The wind was CRAZY but I still think it’s cute so I had to throw it in. This is what I had in mind and with a little patience, the wind finally worked in my favor.  The cure parasol came from the one and only Declaration Boutique and Events on St George Street.  One of my most favorites, I love the light, colors and textures here.  Thank you Kerrie for being so beautiful and easy to photograph!

St Augustine Engagement | Renee & Evan

I met Renee and Evan for the first time last Sunday when they drove over from Tallahassee for their engagement session. Originally, they planned their wedding for December of 2011 but recently moved it to a surprise Thanksgiving Day wedding with only their closest family. Although I won’t be with them for their wedding as originally planned, they opted to continue on with an engagement session in St Augustine, which is near and dear to their hearts.

It was such a pleasure to finally meet them for the first time! I have quite a few clients who live out of town and often I don’t get to meet them until their engagement session or wedding day. After the fun time I had with them, I’m even more excited about their “Day After” session that they’ll be coming back for. 😀 Renee and Evan were so easy to work with and they were immediately comfortable with me and the way I shoot, which is a great thing.  Thank you both for being so gorgeous and awesome!

Enjoy your pictures and I’ll see you both soon!

St Augustine Engagement Session | Kaley & Micah | Sneak Peek

I had a great time in St Augustine last night with Kaley and Micah for their engagement session.  They were in town from Tallahassee for the weekend so we met up to do their shoot.  I wanted to put up a sneak peek for them before I head out to today’s wedding in Ponte Vedra.  More on the way soon. . . .
